The day of the Summer Solstice - Thursday, June 21 in the Northern Hemisphere - is a special day in many parts of the world. Besides being the longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere and the shortest in the Southern, this day also marks the link between people, the Earth and the sun. We will be celebrating with yoga, making flower crowns and identifying native healing plants. Join us in exploring this change in season.

As the autumn leaves begin to fall, the elk will begin to bugle as other wildlife prepare for cooler weather. Join us as we explore the magic of the changing season.

As we discover the tracks of wildlife around us, we will preserve them with clay and paint as a reminder of who walks through our forests and creeks.

Wonders of Winter - Saturday, October 27, 1 - 4 p.m.
Ever wonder what the animals at Wildlife Safari Park do when we're closed for winter time? Explore the natural winter habitats of native Nebraska species and then compare and contrast with the animals at Wildlife Safari Park. Guests will participate in making animal enrichment used by the keepers when Wildlife Safari Park is closed for the season. This camp will be an hour long to accommodate all of the activities that are planned.
